If you're searching I hope this finds you
I was so bad when I started wrestling, and I was constantly melting down & becoming discouraged during the process. Middle School we started seeing some success, but I was still a tier below the national contenders. High School we began to set lofty goals & my sophomore year I surprised myself and won my first state title. It was my very first goal we had been chasing from the start & it was an incredible moment in time when we all achieved it. It was right at the end of my self when my dreams came true and I experienced God in the realest sense possible. It was past the point of quitting on myself & striving for control and answers to my future fate. It's the part of my mind when all my striving get's exhausted and I have nothing left to go on. Insert God.
For Christ has set us free"
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1)
Freedom is a process. This scripture is refreshing because its a clear statement of Christ's will for our lives. Sometimes life get can heavy, we get distracted, and too zoomed in on our everyday circumstances. In my own life I can often be bogged down by decisions which are simply not a great issue with God. God is the issue always.

Walking with God Through Suffering
Nothing is more important than to learn how to maintain a life of purpose in the midst of painful adversity. I firmly believe that there is a purpose for all the adversity, pain, and suffering we endure during our temporary assignment on earth. When faced rightly it can drive us like a nail into the love of God and help us grow in our faith. In the book of Job his friends were sure that if things are going well for you, your are living rightly with God and he's pleased with you. And on the flip side they believed if things are going badly for you than you are living wrong with God and he has abandoned you. When they considered Job's circumstances they were sure he had done something wrong and this was his punishment.
A Believing Trust
"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm37:4)
To delight in God is as much a duty as it is a privilege. It takes discipline, sacrifice, and a wholehearted commitment to something greater than yourself. For me nothing has been more rewarding than the spiritual, mental, and physical renewing of my mind since I began to follow Jesus above everything else in my life. Just like everything else it's a small choice and a commitment that is extremely rewarding. I say rewarding wth caution because I am not necessarily talking about man made-manufactured rewards, however there is no limit to God's favor in your life.
Life is a temporary Assignment
Do not become attached to this world or conform to it’s values because our true identity will be found in eternity, and our final destination is heaven. If we submit to this promise, we are set free from worrying about having it all on earth. You see life on earth is very brief and the bible talks about it only being a temporary assignment. When we live with this on our conscious, we’ll be more motivated to calibrate our priorities, adjust some of our current lifestyle choices for the better, and our faith will challenge us to adopt new values.
